Teen Buys $50 Dress Online And Turns It Into An Amazing Designer Gown For Her Prom

There are many days that teenagers will remember but perhaps the one that sticks out most in their mind is prom. It typically happens in the spring and it gives the senior class an opportunity to cut loose for a fun evening of dancing and hanging out with friends. It is the time that marks the end of an era and shortly after prom night; graduation takes place.

Of course, there is a lot that needs to be done before prom arrives. The guys need to rent a tux and get together the itinerary for an evening out with their date. The girls often take the time to have their hair and makeup done. There is one other thing on her list of items, and that is to pick out the dress. When it all comes together, the couple is ready for pictures and a great evening.

When it comes to the dress, many high-schoolers tend to really stress over the details. This is perhaps the first time she will wear a formal gown and she wants it to be awesome. The pictures that are taken and shared are going to be around for a long time and eventually, your children and grandchildren will see just how beautiful you were on that special evening. There is only one problem; prom dresses are insanely expensive!

A young couple, MJ and Nazmayde were also preparing for prom. When the pictures of her dress were shared online, people went absolutely crazy for it. The couple was well coordinated in white and blue outfits and it wasn’t long before the pictures went viral.

After MJ kept getting asked about the dress, she finally decided she would reveal a well-guarded secret. She shared her prom picture next to a picture of a model wearing a dress sold online. Her date (MJ) said: “Ok since ppl inboxing me asking where she gets her dress from …. I found it on @fashionnova for her and she had the idea to add flowers at the bottom … that’s it a $50 dress is all flowers was all it took we both creative as hell.”

This one of a kind dress was really the highlight of the prom. Not only did it look like a million bucks, it cost only a fraction of what most girls pay for their gown. She found something she could afford and then got creative in turning it into something that was unforgettable. The best part is, there was no chance that anyone else would show up in the same gown.

People were really taken back by her creativity and the comments started flooding in:

“I applaud you both because of your cohesiveness you will inspire many that wouldn’t have the means to purchase expensive prom dresses.”

“I wouldn’t even look at the dress on the left because it would be too short for me, but the way you designed the dress on the right, I would buy it in a heartbeat.”

They posed for a graduation photo later and MJ was wearing a t-shirt with the hashtag, #NazBoyfriend and a sentence about the viral prom success.

It only took time and a little creativity but they are inspiring others to do the same.
