Netflix Announces The New Lead Character For The Second Season Of ‘You’

Have you started watching ‘You’ on Netflix yet? If you are lagging behind, you might want to set aside a weekend for some binge watching. It’s got everything you could want, from drama and suspense to just enough off-humor to keep things interesting. Oh, and it has a stalker taking the lead role!

Not everyone is in love with the show but those who watch it seem to agree on one thing, they love the stalker, Joe. In fact, the infatuation got to the point where the person behind the part, Penn Badgley took to Twitter to try and calm the crowd. After all, if they were to meet ‘Joe’ in real life, they would probably be dead before too long.

It didn’t take much thinking for Netflix to decide they would start shooting a second season. Here’s the kicker, there will be a new lead character!

Without going too deep into the rabbit hole, Beck, played by Elizabeth Lail is out for the new season. The leading lady will be played by Victoria Pedretti of ‘The Haunting of Hill House’ fame.

What we know so far is that Pedretti “plays Love Quinn, an aspiring chef who doesn’t care about social media. She’s also tending to a deep grief – so when she meets Joe she senses a shared knowledge of profound loss.”

Some people are sad to see Beck go but they are also excited to see what Joe has in store for Pedretti’s character.

It seems as if the show will be based out of a different location during the second season. They are moving from NYC to LA. If you have been following the plot, it really does make sense. I mean, wouldn’t you relocate after racking up such a high body count?
