Country music celebrities come in all shapes and sizes but for those who appreciate Keith Urban, they realize he is a likable individual.
Perhaps you can remember him thanking a woman for paying for his sandwich, even though she didn’t recognize him.
It appears as if the singer has now taken things to the next level, thanks to a heartwarming video of him visiting a dying fan in the hospital.
Marissa English is a 25-year-old fan of Keith Urban but she is more than just a common fan, she is perhaps his biggest fan. Unfortunately, she was unable to go to his concert because she was in the hospital. She had purchased tickets and was heartbroken that she couldn’t make it.
English has had many health problems since she was a little girl, including a cyst on her brain, scoliosis, and cerebral palsy. The nurses say that she will be in hospice care soon and the prognosis is not good.
“Go home and enjoy her for possibly a year,” one reportedly told her parents. “That might be the longest you have her.”
English was missing her opportunity to see her favorite singer and in order to try to compensate, she had photos of him in her hospital room.
“She just has such a fascination with Keith and loves to watch him on TV and listen to his music,” said her nurse Jackie Codding.
English even sleeps with a tour T-shirt wrapped around a pillow.
“It’s actually cute because she’ll pick up the pillow and hug it and kiss it… she’ll point at it and say ‘Mr. Hottie,'” said English’s mother, Marlise Matthews.
The nurses realized that seeing her favorite singer would lift her spirits so they went on social media and started a campaign to bring him to St. Vincent Hospital. At the very least, they were hoping that the star would speak with her on Facetime.
“We knew how important it was to Marissa to be at that concert tonight,” said nurse Jan Cassidy, “and since she wasn’t able to we were hoping to try and find some way to have Keith make a connection with her.”
To everybody’s surprise, Urban saw the message on social media and gave English and her family a treat they will never forget.

Not only did he visit and have a conversation with her, but he also sang one of her favorite songs, “Blue Aint’ Your Color,” from her bedside.
When you see the smile on her face, you know exactly how happy she is.
Madison, her sister posted that he was “so into her and I bawled like a baby.”
“You are a class act,” she told the singer, “and we could never express how much this meant to us today.”
When he had his concert later that night, the family was able to attend along with some ICU nurses. The visit with English was still on his mind.
He told his fans from the stage that he had met “a beautiful girl named Marissa,” and that he “truly” thought she was “my biggest fan.”
His entire show in Toledo was even dedicated to English, proving without a shadow of a doubt that he is an awesome individual.
