Jennifer Lopez turned 50 last month, and she still doesn’t look a day over 30.
However, J-Lo has made it known that her body isn’t solely a result of good genes. She works hard to maintain her toned muscled body. In addition to exercising every day, she also follows a strict diet.
For starters, the singer and stress drinks water consistently, especially following a workout. In a HELLO! Interview, J-Lo gave us one of her top health secrets. She said, “First of all, hydrate. Drinking plenty of water, especially before a workout, can help you push harder and get more out of your exercise routine.”
Accompanying exercise and diet, she also doesn’t smoke or drink alcohol and coffee. She also makes sure to get a full eight hours sleep each night, no matter what.
Regarding food, J-Lo’s advice is to stick with clean, healthy, non-processed foods that are filled with protein. Even when she’s eating out, she’ll normally opt for fish and vegetables or a salad. She also told HELLO! About her snacking habits, “I always carry fruit and veggies with me to give me something to snack on between meals.”

It comes as no secret that J-Lo is a dancer and loves to dance – she’s convinced that is what keeps her so happy in life, so she never skips a workout, even if she’s tired or jet-lagged. Jennifer said to the publication;
“Dance has always been a huge part of my life and taking the time to move my body and do something that’s so good for me is key to my happiness. And I really believe that when you take care of yourself and work to stay healthy, you’re better able to take care of those you love. So working out is definitely a priority for me.”
Outside of dancing, she takes on any kind of workout from HIIT and kickboxing to light weights and circuit training. There’s nothing that she won’t try.
So, if you want to look as good as J-Lo at 50, might be time to start cracking down with the diet and exercise regimen.
