Hugh Jackman And Jake Gyllenhaal Played A Massive Christmas Prank On Ryan Reynolds

You may not realize this but Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds has put together more than one prank on his celebrity coworkers and friends. It seems as if he has got the reputation of pranking Hugh Jackman, the lead from Wolverine and for trolling the actor on a number of occasions. In 2017, Jackman was posing for a photo with some excited fans while on tour. He was promoting the release of Logan, his latest superhero film. Ryan responded, saying: “Pretty sure those are protesters.”

Jackman was basically speechless, only saying: “Really… Guy… Really?!” It seemed as if Reynolds had the upper hand but now it appears as if Jackman has finally gotten his revenge. In order to make things even a little sweeter, Jake Gyllenhaal joined in.

In order for this to be pulled off properly, everything had to be planned in advance. Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal were up against a seasoned prankster, so there was no room for error. As it turns out, it appears as if Jackman feels Reynolds is ruthless.

“Ryan is relentless,’ Jackman explained on a November episode of [morning news show] Sunday TODAY. ‘He keeps coming back to me in all these ways, shapes and forms. I just said, ‘You know, I just don’t think the world really wants to see Deadpool with Wolverine.’ Maybe a cameo from Deadpool? I just think it runs over it for Deadpool,'” the article reported.

Now it was Jackman’s turn to turn the tables in a fun way. Jackman and Gyllenhaal invited Reynolds on December 20 to come to a Christmas party. Reynolds was supposed to wear an ugly Christmas sweater because that was the theme of the party. Perhaps you have had an enjoyable get together like this during the holiday season. Reynolds didn’t even think about it, but he wasn’t expecting that something was going on behind the scenes.

Reynolds was able to dig out the ugliest Christmas sweater that I think was ever made. It was absolutely horrible! It looks like he was wrapped as his own Christmas present. It featured brightly colored wrapping paper and a 3D bow with gold colors. The sweater even had a card that was printed with the top corner in place of a pocket. I don’t even know where he managed to find something like this.

Reynolds was not very happy about the prank. He went on Instagram to post a picture of himself standing next to the two pranksters. In the first picture, he looked rather cranky as he stood between the two of them. Of course, they were smiling from ear to ear. Gyllenhaal was even giving a thumbs up to the camera.

In the second picture, Reynolds is still looking rather down but the other two are celebrating. They seem to be enjoying the moment. This is something that you would expect out of brothers but then Reynolds sweetens the pot when he posts a picture with the caption: “These f*cking *ssholes said it was a sweater party.” He even added an emoji of a Christmas tree to make it more festive. The pranksters were tagged in the picture.

People were loving the story and they started commenting. Instagram user Melindahartwrightinteriors said, “Now that’s a gift I’d like in my stocking!” Annethepsychic added, “You look very cute in that… Um… Um… Special sweater. Better luck getting them back on April Fools!” Another user, Bspike18, chimed in with some encouragement and support for the Adventureland actor. They commented, “Dude. F*ck those guys. That sweater is on point! It’s Christmas and you rocked it.”

Reynolds and Jackman were also posting an alternate version to their Instagram profiles. It included some Photoshop edits. One shows Jackman sporting Wolverine’s iconic claws on his hands and Gyllenhaal’s head is inside of a bubble. Reynolds’ face is covered by Deadpool masks and he is holding candy canes instead of the usual katanas. There was even a Spider-Man photoshopped into the corner with Tom Hollander being tagged.

Fans were reacting to the edited photo with gusto. Instagram user Tiannekin commented, “Honestly, it’s really hard to breathe looking at this picture!” “Hahaha! The way [Ryan Reynolds] is holding the candy canes is too funny!” Said Arshi_06. Kozhukhovadaria87 added, “It is so cool that you guys are making fun of each other. How I would like to be friends with you guys in real life.”

This may not be a confirmation of the Wolverine-Deadpool crossover but it is nice to watch these celebrities having fun.
