For those of us who are looking for ways to relax, it can be fun to spend some time enjoying nature. Who doesn’t like to enjoy some sun and get some fresh air after being cooped up inside for a long period of time? We all love to get outside and seize the day but this is a story of what can happen when someone decides to beat you to the punch. Or the slap, as it were.
Kyle Mulinder is a man from New Zealand who simply wanted to take a kayaking trip. He is just a self described small town guy who is looking to see as much of the world as possible. Kyle did not know what he was about to get himself into. He was enjoying himself out on the water when he just so happened to interrupt one heck of a fight that happened to be taking place.
An octopus and a seal were going at it when Kyle came along. He did not mean to interrupt them but that excuse was not about to fly with them. The seal was winning the fight, by the way. According to Kyle, the seal was giving the octopus quite the thrashing. At a certain point of the fight, the seal grabbed the octopus and launched the animal out of the water.
Kyle’s face just happened to be in the line of fire. He took quite the smack for it but at least he managed to get a fairly hilarious video out of the situation. The seal may have won the fight that was taking place but in our humble opinion, the octopus should be taking home the overall belt. Kyle would probably not disagree on the matter.
At least he seems to have a pretty good sense of humor about the whole thing. He and his friend Taiyo were happy to share the footage. They have been on some crazy adventures together over the years but this one just might take the cake. All it takes is one look at their Instagram pages to see how much enjoyment they get out of becoming one with nature.
It is important to note that seals can be dangerous and that we should not take them lightly. These two friends are lucky that they were not hurt. Fortunately, no one was harmed and we now have a funny video to share with the rest of the world.
